I think there needs to be a dedicated section for seed sites, where different seed companies can create threads for discussion about their wares.
This should be introduced in combination with a ban on commercial advertising and sales pitches (or shilling) in the more general areas of the forum. we want this forum to stay independent and not be corrupted by business influences.

I don't know if we're ready for seperate threads for every seed site. What I would like to do for now is open one thread with a list of seed companies where the owners can give some info about their wares and a link to their website.
I will set up some rules for the company owners so they know what they can and can't say on this messageboard. I think it's fine if someone wants to ad a link to their company in their signature for example. What do you think?

Yeah, link in sig is not a problem. Set what limits you are comfortable with on companies, as long as everyone knows the boundaries it should be fine.
Some other forums have a seed site board and it seems to work well, plus it is somewhere to direct people who get a little too enthusiastic about promoting their wares in the main forum.
